McKeesport hosts 63rd International Village

Ethnic dancers perform on stage

McKeesport celebrated sights, sounds, and tastes from around the world with its 63rd annual International Village heritage festival.

The City of McKeesport welcomed the 63rd International Village to Stephen Barry Field in Renziehausen Park on August 15, 16, and 17, 2023.

This heritage festival honors various countries around the world by celebrating with ethnic food, traditional dances, and more. The annual tradition takes place on a Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 3-9 p.m. -- making it the largest-drawing weekday event in our region year after year.

Founded in 1960, International Village in McKeesport, Pa., is a celebration of shared traditions and heritage. Each year, you’ll find more than a dozen booths selling freshly-made ethnic foods from around the world, continuous live entertainment, live music for dancing, crafts, community information and games.

International Village is entirely run by volunteers, including many of the ethnic churches, temples, and social organizations in the McKeesport region. It annually draws more than 20,000 people to McKeesport's historic Renziehausen Park.
