Clean-up events beautify McKeesport

Students volunteer to pick up trash

In recent months, regional organizations, businesses, and student groups have done their part to beautify the City of McKeesport.

Clean-up events and volunteer outreach days were hosted by Allegheny CleanWays, UPMC, Western Pennsylvania Conservancy, Peoples Gas, Founders Hall Middle School National Junior Honor Society, LaRosa Youth Club, and more. Focusing on his motto of “Working Together for a Better McKeesport,” Mayor Michael Cherepko thanked the volunteers from each group for making these events a success. “These words are more than a slogan,” Cherepko said. “They are an invitation for each and every one of us to do our part to make McKeesport an even place.”
