  1. Pop Up & Play Extravaganza

    June 20, 2018, 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM @ Highland Grove Playground

    Children of all ages are welcome to take part in a "Pop Up & Play" Extravaganza. Children 0-8 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. The program includes fitness activities, beautification, the McKeesport Oasis Project, arts and crafts, reading, and free food and beverages. Sponsors include the AIU McKeesport Family Center, YouthCAST Leadership Network, Point Park University's Center for Media and Innovation, AIU First Steps Parenting Program, and the McKeesport Healthier Communities PartnerSHIP. Community partners include UPMC for You, HEAL Children's Hospital, Mon Valley Circles, AIU Family Literacy Program, McKeesport Housing Authority, Mayor Michael Cherepko and the City of McKeesport, Children's Hospital Injury Prevention, McKeesport Police Department, McKeesport Fire Department, McKeesport Ambulance Rescue Service.

    The Pittsburgh Dream Center is partnering with local churches to distribute food to those in need. Food is distributed from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the church parking lot (in the basement in case of inclement weather).
